Policy
Clinical Results Consultation
Broadmeadows Place Medical Clinic encourages a follow-up consultation with our physician for detailed discussions about test results and to establish further health management plans. Please do not infer that uncommunicated results are necessarily normal and always seek clarification during a scheduled appointment.
Health Management Reminder Service
Our clinic uses telephone notifications for upcoming health assessments and preventive care opportunities. Please inform us of any updates to your contact details, including changes to your Medicare and Health Care cards. If you prefer not to utilize this reminder service, kindly inform our reception.
Medical Certificate Issuance
An in-person consultation with our physician is required to issue a medical certificate. The certificate will indicate the dates when the patient was unfit for work or other activities and the issuance date. If a patient cannot visit on the day of illness, a statutory declaration can be provided to explain the absence. Please notice: we do not issue backdated medical certificates, so it’s essential to contact us on the day you need the certificate.
Direct Physician Communication
Patients may reach out to our physician during regular clinic hours for urgent queries. If the physician is attending to another patient, our reception staff will take your message and schedule a subsequent callback.
Medical Records Transfer Procedure
For the transfer of medical records from Broadmeadows Place Medical Clinic, we require a signed consent from the receiving medical facility. A fee corresponding to the administrative costs of copying, compiling, and transferring may apply. As per legal obligations, the clinic will retain your original records.
Clinic Conduct Policy
We uphold a safe and respectful clinic environment. Aggressive, abusive, or threatening conduct will not be tolerated. Individuals demonstrating such behaviour will be instructed to leave immediately, with police involvement if compliance is not met. Recurrent misconduct may result in removal from our clinic’s care.
Medicare Billing Policy
At Broadmeadows Place Medical Clinic, all services provided to our clients are billed directly to Medicare. This ensures a streamlined process that alleviates direct payment requirements for eligible services. We encourage our patients to bring their Medicare card to each visit to facilitate this process. If there are any services not covered by Medicare or if additional fees apply, we will inform you prior to treatment. Please contact our reception for more information on which services are covered and any potential out-of-pocket costs.
